The local tram and bus stop is nearby the hotel and can take you into Cleveleys or Fleetwood Market. If you don't fancy a walk into the centre, hop on the tram, it's just minutes away.
The resort has three piers, the North pier, a refurbished Central Pier with a Big Wheel, and the South Pier that has its own theatre.
Every autumn, early September to early November, there is Blackpool Illuminations when the whole town lights up along five miles. There are famous places here such as Blackpool Tower Ballroom, the scene of dancing for many years, as well as band concerts and shows.
Don't forget the Tourist Information centre in the town. A major shopping area includes Hounds Hill Shopping Centre. To get around, try the famous trams, running on 11 miles of track.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: The Blackpool Pleasure Beach is Britain's top free tourist attraction, as listed by the English Tourist Board, and welcomes over 6.5 million visits annually. The Pleasure Beach has something for all age groups, it is home to some of the most exciting white knuckle rides for the adrenaline seekers including the Pepsi Max Big One which is the biggest rollercoaster in Europe and leisurely cruises through the River Caves or a ride on the first commercial monorail. The Pleasure Beach is also home to great live entertainment with shows such as the Hot Ice Show, the Mystique magical illusion show and the Eclipse, a sensational circus musical.
Blackpool Tower: Blackpool's World famous Tower and its Ballroom, is still one of the major attractions in the town. It opened in 1894 which makes this year its 110th Anniversary. Rise to the top of the tower for the walk of faith and on a clear day you can see for 40 miles. The ballroom, aquarium and Jungle Jims means theres something for everyone.
Blackpool Zoo: Blackpool Zoo has been open for 25 years and is home to over 1000 animals from all over the world. The Zoo is based behind Stanley Park, only two miles from the sea front and is open all the year around from 10am. There is always plenty to do and see with 'close up' animal encounters, animal feeding and displays throughout the day and 'meet the keeper' talks. It also hosts special events throughout the year with guest appearances, exhibitions and exciting animal adventures.
